Breaking News: VP Osinbajo receives 2017 Budget

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Friday received the 2017 Appropriation bill.

The budget was passed by the National Assembly last week.

The document was submitted to Osinbajo by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly matters (Senate),  Ita Enang,

.

According to him, it would be assented to by the Acting President after the laid down procedure.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Acting President on Media, Mr Laolu Akande, also confirmed the development via his Twitter handle.

The National Assembly had on Thursday last week passed the budget, five months after President Muhammadu Buhari presented it before the lawmakers.

The lawmakers, however, increased the budget size to N7.44tn, from the N7.29tn proposed by the President.
