Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has approved the immediate dissolution of his cabinet.
Also affected are the Transition Committee Chairmen of the twenty seven local government areas of the state.
In a statement signed by the Principal Secretary to Governor Mr. Paschal Obi, the affected Commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants and the Transition Committee Chairmen were directed to hand over to the most senior Civil Servants in their respective Ministries Departments and Agencies.
Governor Okorocha said he appreciated the contributions of the affected appointees and wished them well in their future endeavours.
According to him, the secretary to the government, the chief of staff, chairmen and members of statutory commissions such as ISEC, Civil Service Commission, local government service commission were not affected.
“Also not affected in the cabinet shake off are the state universal basic education board, the judicial service commission, and the House of Assembly Service Commission.
