Queen Elizabeth visits young terror attack victims at Royal-Manchester-Childrens-Hospital


The Queen visits young terror attack victims at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and thanks heroic medics who treated them 

The monarch met schoolgirls Millie Robson, 15, Evie Mills, 14, and Amy Barlow, 12, and their families 
She also thanked hospital staff who worked tirelessly to keep the children alive in the hours after the tragedy.
Fourteen victims remain at the hospital, including five in critical care. Twenty-two people died in the blast.




Children as young as eight were among those killed when Salman Abedi, 22, detonated an improvised explosive device minutes after pop star Ariana Grande finished performing at Manchester Arena on Monday night.
 
A further 116 people were injured in the attack, with 75 admitted to eight hospitals across the region.

 





Fourteen youngsters were taken to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, where five remain in critical care.  
The Queen looked solemn as she arrived at the hospital today but brought a feeling of optimism and defiance to the occasion in a vibrant orange hat and blue coat.  
Prime Minister Theresa May visited the hospital on Tuesday afternoon.
